Frequently asked questions
When can I play?
Push Hazard is still being built. It will be free on the App Store and Google Play, and this site will link to both as soon as the listings are live.
Is Push Hazard free?
Yes. Every map, the map creator and the leaderboards are free, with no ads. Some extra characters can be bought, but they never change how the game plays.
Which phones does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 16.4 or later, and Android phones and tablets with Android 7.0 or later.
Do I need an account?
No. You choose a name and the app makes a player ID on your phone. There is no sign-up and no password.
How do I share a map?
Finish your map in the creator, then share its link. Anyone with the app opens it straight into the game; anyone without it is sent to the store first.
Where are scores kept?
Published maps and scores go to public Nostr relays, run by other people, with your name and player ID. Push Hazard runs no server of its own.
Can I play offline?
Yes. Maps you have opened are saved on your phone. You only need a connection to publish or see leaderboards.
I changed phone. How do I get my characters back?
Characters are bought through the App Store or Google Play. On the new phone, signed in to the same store account, open Characters and tap Restore purchases.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes everything kept on your phone. Maps and times you published can be removed from Online play in the app. The Your data page explains each case.
Is it suitable for children?
There is no chat and there are no ads, and player and map names go through a word filter. Published maps and scores are public, though, so younger players should publish with a parent.
Which languages are there?
English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
